“Ranahon”

“Ranahon” is a Dusun word referring to a paddy field.

It’s been 4 years I did not get myself stained by the paddy field mud. I bet it’s a tiring job (don’t you?) but yeah it’s is worth because you can enjoy the ‘padi baru’ together with the family after harvesting the paddy. When I was so young, I’m so excited to wake up at the morning so that I can follow my mum to go to Siba (it’s a regular name called by orang kampung to a paddy field). But the excited-ness diminish on my teenage year. Seeing my peer to have fun at Ranau town every weekend while me at the Siba planting paddy really make me mad. “Kenapa dorang bulih siok2 di kedai tapi sia di Siba panat tanam padi“. Ouch! When I think of it again that was a very bad teenage-thinking of mine. And now, suda tua-tua ni my excited-ness to go to Siba seems come back.

So here is our Ranahon pictures shared by my bro at his FB. It’s a small piece of land-2.5 acres. Can’t wait to see it soon.

D, tolong p beli mangga yang suda kena potong tu d pasar. Taruh lada and kicap. Beli 3 plastik ah.

D refers to Ben (panggilan manja dia konon tu). Ben came back and he brought 10 plastic (which is RM1 per pack) of various fruit. Bukan alang-alang oh. But I picked mangga and give the rest to my sister and nephews.

My friend teased me. “Aik sapa mengidam ni asam2. Ada-ada suda ka?” I don’t bother her and dengan sioknya makan mangga yang asam tu.Yum-yum. I even asked Ben to buy for me the next day and the day after next day. Gila punya perut banyak2 makanan mangga juga yang dipilih.

Then, while helping my sisters preparing dinner for our late appa’s 5th day memorial prayer (on 17th Sept)…I suddenly feel yuck. Sakit hidung dan tekak ni tercium bau bawang and the fried chicken..Odoi. Before that I helped my sister to cut onion and the smell of onion still remain on my fingers even after few times washed them with variety of detergents.

I did experienced bloating and back pain. These symptoms are just like a normal PMS. So I don’t bother. But it worsens on the next day. Nausea and vomiting and headache and heartburn. Decided to shut up but then cannot hold it and I told Ben how my situation is. I feel very sick and super exhausted. Can you imagine I even fall asleep in the morning as early as 9.00 a.m. I really want to do the hCG test but I don’t have it at home (Ranau) so decided to wait till 21st Sept once we back to KK.

So we back to KK and took the test kit and…………………. ????

Stay tuned guys…..to be continued.
